Summary: | This innovation project focuses on providing effective support to entrepreneurs who use social media to market their products and services. Its objective was to improve the management of its businesses and decision-making through five (5) phases through the Design Thinking methodology: empathy, definition, ideation, prototyping and validation. Throughout the project, multiple interviews were conducted, and surveys were applied at different stages to gain a deep understanding of the needs and motivations of entrepreneurs who use social media to operate, promote, and sell their services. As a result of this research, a value proposition and a prototype of a digital application were designed, aimed at providing these entrepreneurs with the necessary tools to effectively manage their businesses, handle their sales, and manage their customers. An initial experiment was conducted to evaluate the acceptance of the value proposition through the pre-registration of users potentially interested in the proposed solution. A second experiment focused on assessing the usability of the digital application prototype through a group of users, yielding positive results in terms of acceptability and recommendation for use. In summary, this innovation project provides an innovative and effective response to a real-world business challenge, offering a promising solution for entrepreneurs who rely on social media for their commercial operations. The successful results of the business and usability experiments support the viability and potential of this solution to address the needs of this rapidly growing segment of entrepreneurs. |
