Vender Murphy Christian School in Barranquilla. We worked under a mixed approach descriptive explanatory type, nonexperimental design. It was selected in a this way: A sample of 150 students and 15 teachers, evaluated by means of a questionnaire; likewise, an interview was conducted with the principal and the bilingualism coordinator. It was reviewed using the digital ethnography technique on the WEB and was compiled information in a review matrix, the strategies for using the platforms educational technology at the local, national and international level, strategies are designed for optimal use and finally, the strategies for optimal use of virtual educational platforms. The results showed that there are factors that affect the academic use of virtual educational platforms, such as the attitude of the educational process, teacher training on the use of TICs in education and teaching, among others, that allows or not the optimal use of these virtual educational platforms. Also, participants recognize the benefits of these platforms. It is concluded that by defining strategies for optimal use of technology platforms during a teaching-learning process allows teachers to innovate in the classroom and motivate students to learn.
