Description
Summary:This Project is focused on investigate the behavior of materials applied in the construction of oil dielectric transformers distribution. Currently, the most of these equipment operate with mineral oil, which has a low point of combustion and produces environmental issues due to its low biodegradability. As an alternative, vegetable oils have been developing that accomplish the established limits by international standards. In order to carry out this project bibliographic and technical references were consulted as well as business visits as a result, It was possible to observe that the most of the properties of the vegetable oil are appropriate for the transformer to operate efficiently, some of them overcome the properties of the mineral dielectric oil. As a conclusion, it can be said that this oil presents a high percentage of compatibility with the rest of materials that are used.
