Summary:This research proposes to develop a proposal for the educational use and appropriation of ICT in teaching processes in the Bolivariano educational institution of the department of San Andres Island, Colombia, this research with a mixed approach and descriptive level, has as its general objective design a proposal for the use and educational appropriation of ICT in the teaching processes of the institution. As an instrument for gathering information, a survey was used to investigate the strengths and weaknesses in the use of these technologies in teaching processes by teachers and thus develop various alternatives that favor the correct use and appropriation of information. ICT available in the institution, the population under study is made up of 1115 individuals, including teachers, administrative staff and students. The data analyzed suggest that teachers, despite knowing to some extent the ICTs available in the institution, do not have the training and training required to use them adequately, in addition to the fact that the Bolivariano educational institution does not have a Training and monitoring plan on the use of these technologie
