Summary: | Due to the rise of technology, the use of technological advances is needed nowadays, in order to run the process with accuracy and precision in less time. Considering the above, and thinking about how to systematize the academic practices, arose the initiative to design and develop an academic software for the study of behavior and recognition of materials exposed to tensile testing at the strength of materials laboratory at the ‘Universidad de la Costa’, indicating the problem clearly and justification thereof, as well as its methodology, which consisted in establishing the specific academic requirements, determining the mathematical models and computer tools to use, encoding the required modules and interface design. According to the results, it was concluded that the software products concerning the assistance in the tensile testing are scarce, inaccessible or non-commercial origin; and that using Matlab allows improvements in the graphical display of the software developed. |
