Description
Summary:Various authors have corroborated that the COVID-19 crisis can develop or consolidate mental disorders, this health crisis has created harsh economic, social and health difficulties throughout the world, creating different attitudes in people and especially in students due to the changes implemented in educational institutions. The objective of this study is to analyze the levels of emotional regulation and coping strategies in university students during the COVID-19 health emergency. To this end, the research question is the following: ¿What are the emotional regulation indices and coping strategies in university students during the year 2020? In this context, despite the fact that this crisis is leaving behind a host of questions regarding the future of education, we are not far from the educational landscape changing, what is relevant is the direction in which they arise said changes. To achieve the proposed objective, the non-experimental quantitative empirical analytical paradigm was chosen, with the participation of 200 students from different Colombian universities (61.8% women and 38.2% men), aged between 18 and 45 years. , through the application of the instrument (ERQ Emotional Regulation Questionnaire; Cabello, et al, 2013 and Coping Strategies Scale - modified (EEC-M) Londoño, et al, 2006) which evaluated control of emotions during the pandemic and coping of the problems or stressful situations that students face in life.
