Summary: | This research project envisages the development of a maturity measurement model in energy management, as an effective tool for its promotion in the industrial sector. Initially, a literature review associated with energy management measurement techniques was carried out comparing the different methodological approaches to identify the types of tools used, describe their characteristics and main differentiating points. The validation of the tool is carried out using the Delphi method, which takes into account the considerations of a panel of experts from the industrial, governmental and academic sectors, who assessed the relevance of each of the components; in turn, the AHP multi-criteria decision-making method is used to weigh each of the dimensions of the tool, as well as its component criteria, This allows each of the components to be added and synthesized into an energy management maturity measurement index. Finally, a pilot test of the tool is carried out on a sample of 6 of the main companies in the metallurgical sector in the Atlantic department, in which the level of maturity in the management of energy efficiency was obtained, demonstrating the strengths and opportunities for improvement in the dimensions of evaluation, governance, organization, performance measurement, organizational culture and investment. In addition, the measurement index is translated into maturity levels that determine the state of progress of an organization in the efficient management of energy. |
