Description
Summary:The design of an associativity scheme for the supply chain of the Dairy Sector in the Department of the Atlántico, Colombia, is presented, for which a diagnostic tool was designed for two specific nodes of the chain: the centers for milk collection and the dairy processing industries. This tool was based on four factors such as logistics, quality, production and associativity, and was applied to twelve companies. Based on the diagnosis and evaluation carried out, a new scheme is proposed to increase the competitiveness of the Dairy Cluster, and strategies are provided to help small milk producers to improve their processes and ways of increasing collaboration and alliances between the dairy processing industries and the collection centers.
