Summary:	This research project analyzes the old-age pension system in the medium-premium regime in Colombia, its jurisprudence and its history, looking for the procedures for citizens to access it. The legal framework was evaluated from the beginning of the rules that govern the old-age pension system, and the evolution that has taken place throughout history, in the different reforms to the pension rules. In addition to the above, the principle of progressivity applied to the old-age pension system is described, as well as the provisions that have been presented in accordance with the procedures required by the rules of the pension system and the requirements to enjoy the right to an old-age pension. The right to old-age pension, and its legal basis, development and guarantees by the state towards citizens are also studied in depth and the differences between the system of the average premium regime with defined benefit and the individual savings regime are established. solidary. Finally, it is mentioned that the descriptive qualitative research approach is used with a socio-legal approach, to achieve the proposed objectives, through the analysis of the factors that influence the tensions to obtain the old-age pension in the regime average premium with defined benefit.
