Description
Summary:Child prostitution and trafficking in children is a problem on a large scale and with effects on the population that suffers it, of large dimensions, because its consequences mark forever the lives of children and adolescents who suffer it. To address this issue, specific objectives were proposed, such as Describing child prostitution and trafficking in minors as punishable behavior and as a social phenomenon, identifying the causes and effects of child prostitution and trafficking in minors, and finally determining the policies designed by the government, through state institutions to stop the high rate of prostitution in the child population in Barranquilla. The present investigation is of a socio-juridical and analytical nature, through which it was possible to obtain some results and reach conclusions that show how vulnerable children and adolescents are, especially of strata I and II, which they are exposed to innumerable dangers and the precariousness of their living conditions makes them easy victims of unscrupulous people who use them to exploit them sexually and profit from them, in the face of the indifferent and permissive gaze of family, society and the State, which are the entities in charge of providing protection and protection at all times.
