Description
Summary:One of the common problems faced by small and medium enterprises (SMEs) is access to financial resources that enable them to strengthen their operations and stimulate the growth of its activities. This work proposes an analysis of funding sources used by small businesses in the city of Barranquilla. In terms of approach, the study is based primarily on data collection and interviews with a representative sample of credit institutions in the city of Barranquilla and other relevant entities. The study focuses on banks as they are the largest providers of external financing for SMEs, analyzing business models, credit risk management that is used in this market segment, and the factors that limit their ability to provide more funding.
