Summary: | This research aims to achieve the comprehensive restoration of the Flor de Sabana buildings in Sincelejo, Sucre, Colombia, with the goal of enriching the appropriation of the space and fostering the connection between the architectural heritage and the local community, as well as visitors. Through a methodological approach that combines qualitative and quantitative methods, an analysis of the physical condition of the buildings was conducted, along with a study of cultural and social practices in their environment (Rodríguez, 2018). Additionally, principles of urban acupuncture were implemented, identifying key points for precise interventions that revitalize the urban environment and promote greater social interaction (Lerner, 2003). The restoration was carried out following best practices in heritage conservation, respecting original materials and techniques to ensure the authenticity of the buildings (Feilden, 2003). The results highlight the challenges the city faces regarding the conservation and revitalization of its historical heritage, while also emphasizing the potential of rehabilitated buildings to boost the cultural and social life of the community (García, 2015). The relevance of this study lies in its contribution to sustainable development and cultural tourism in the region, inspiring future projects aimed at preserving architectural heritage. |
