Description
Summary:The present qualitative research under an experiential introspective approach aims to configure an instructional design proposal mediated by ICT to favor the communicative competences in English of the first-grade students of the J. Vender Murphy Christian School. The project was developed with a participatory action research methodology that allowed being active participants in the research through techniques and instruments such as interview, observation and focus group. It was found that teachers plan their classes biweekly by a program already established by the institution and use didactic and virtual resources. Similarly, students and teachers presented strengths and weaknesses according to communicative skills in English. In the same way, parents and teachers of the institution expressed the need to improve the communicative competences in English of the students, taking positively the virtual didactic proposal.
