Summary: | Construction and demolition waste; RCD in Colombia generate a strong environmental problem, among which the contamination of uncontrolled ground and aquifers stands out; However, this problem increases due to the lack of policy and management regarding the final disposal and use of this waste; considering these as waste that are generated in the urban environment and are not within the classification of residential and commercial waste; in the case of inert waste that is produced by the movement of land, construction of new buildings, infrastructure works and by the demolition or repair of buildings. When you do not have a good management of the RCD, not only you are losing material that can be used, but negative consequences are generated in the environment, it is therefore of great importance that through this proposal you want to keep the city of Barraquilla clean and free of contamination, in which it is intended to generate a plan for the integral management of these wastes, with the main purpose of their use; starting from the fact that in the city of Barranquillera, 236 tons of RCD are generated monthly according to the PIGRS (Integrated Solid Waste Management Plan) and do not have a good management neither of transport nor of final destination. The general objective of this project is: Generate strategies that allow the reuse of construction and demolition waste in the city of Barranquilla. The specific objectives are: Identify the construction companies of civil works that generate construction and demolition waste in the city of Barranquilla, Carry out a market study on the existing supply of RCD in the city of Barranquilla, Know the current processes of the RCD of the companies identified, detail the RCDs generated during the life cycle of a civil works project in the city of Barranquilla, develop a guide of good practices for the management of RCD. Throughout the project, the specific objectives encompassed the improvement of practices for the management of construction and demolition waste in the city of Barranquilla were analyzed, analyzing the use of them and their good practices that allow the reduction of pollution environmental, which served as the basis for the realization of a guide aimed at all those involved in the construction sector. The tools used for the development of this project were the PMI guide, in addition to conducting interviews and surveys to different companies related to the construction sector in the city of Barranquilla, technological tools (Google Forms) that allowed virtual dissemination were used in the same way. of the different surveys and that served as a basis to reach the proposed objectives. It is important the propagation of the guide made to promote the improvement of good practices for the management of CDWs led by some companies, thus contributing to the reduction of excessive consumption of these wastes and the uncontrolled contamination of aquifers and urban soils from the city of Barranquilla. Keywords: Construction, waste, demolition, projects, management. |
