Description
Summary:In a conflict of such duration as that has lived in Colombia, the number of victims is often undetermined reason to repair them is often complex, the tenor of international and national rules governing the matter. To this must be added factors such as the expectations of the victims, opposition to certain procedures by interested parties and rules interpretation by the authorities in charge of the process. In Colombia, the situation is extremely complex as there is a single violent actor, but a combination of factors that complicate the situation and makes difficult the identification, recognition and compensation of victims. This work was aimed to study the repair process implemented in Colombia, regarding the issue of reparation and its consistency with rules that serve as general legal framework for the process. While one can say that the State is making efforts to fulfill its constitutional role, the fact remains that the degree of satisfaction is highly variable from one victim to another and full reparation is extremely difficult, given the factors that play important role in the process. Still, the author concludes that it moves and that it is possible to achieve a repair that will constitute a further element in the search for peace in Colombia.
