Description
Summary:Reading comprehension is essential to improve the academic performance of students during a training process, as well as in everyday life. The deficiency in the development of the levels of reading comprehension of the students affects the low performance achieved in the different tests that are carried out in the secondary school. The purpose of the research is to develop reading comprehension levels in sixth grade students using the multimedia educational environment offered by the JClic tool. The research is carried out under a mixed descriptive-explanatory approach, with a quasi-experimental design. For which there will be a sample of 80 students distributed in two (2) experimental and control groups, of 40 students each. Initially, a diagnostic test will be carried out on both groups, in order to identify the level of reading comprehension of sixth grade students, then pedagogical sessions are held in the classroom and outside it with the use of the JClic tool, at the end it will be carried out a posttest test to both groups in order to assess the level of reading comprehension. This research will provide the necessary pedagogical tools to develop reading comprehension levels and thus achieve the expected results in sixth grade students. It is concluded that the use of the Jclic multimedia educational environment positively affects the development of students' reading comprehension levels.
