description The present investigation will be oriented to evaluate the existing infrastructure for pedestrians through measures of accessibility and connectivity taking into account also other variables such as built environment, pedestrian perception and topological variables. In addition, propose policies that increase the facility with which pedestrians can walk in the city, evaluating the impact they may have on them. For this purpose, the necessary information was collected to know the physical condition and evaluate the walkableness of the main roads of the city of Barranquilla, using a walkability index developed from the results of a pedestrian survey for the city (Saltarín, 2017). The application of the index will serve to determine the state of the pedestrian infrastructure and know the places that should be operated in the city if it is searching to improve the amount of trips that are made in walking mode. This index will be the main methodological basis in this project. It should be noted that this project is the first application of an index of this type in the country of Colombia.

Arellana Guzman, Jennifer-9e3aee3f-6be1-4475-b0d2-ca8fb7645d5e-0spaAtribución – No comercial – Compartir igualinfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccesshttp://purl.org/coar/access_right/c_abf2AccesibilidadconectividadentornopercepcióntopológicaspolíticasestadocaminabilidadíndiceAccessibilityConnectivityEnvironmentPerceptionTopologicalPoliciesStateWalkabilityIndexWalkability index assesment in barranquillaTrabajo de grado - Pregradohttp://purl.org/coar/resource_type/c_7a1fTextinfo:eu-repo/semantics/bachelorThesishttp://purl.org/redcol/resource_type/TPinfo:eu-repo/semantics/acceptedVersionIngeniería CivilBierlaire, M.
