Peor aún, la Gran Guerra dejó cicatrices que cambiaron al mundo, y hasta el día de hoy sentimos sus efectos. |

Although the world was enjoying relative peace, European politicians were unable to prevent international tensions from escalating into a global conflict. Ten million deaths and twenty million mutilated were the result. Millions of young people left the safety of their homes to take up arms, marching enthusiasts and induced by a sterile patriotism.
