Summary:The energetic efficiency in buildings is a subject that is giving of which to speak at present, nevertheless it is necessary to consider the benefits that this brings with it. For countries such as Colombia it is an almost new field since until recently there has been support from the government, which leads to implementing energy efficiency models in the various institutions, especially in universities. To obtain favorable results in terms of Energy Efficiency, a thorough study of all the variables inside the building is necessary; analyzing the energy that is spent contrasting it with what should be spent. To thus offer solutions and alternatives for improvement in the face of possible low efficiency. All this will be exposed in the development of this research project, from the field of refrigeration and air conditioning equipment, and using the energy simulation software and thermal load calculation DESIGN BUILDER®.
