Traditional banking presents a great challenge with Financial Technology (Fintech) and the transformation of financial services. This is perceived as a significant disruption in the economy with the advent of these new business models. It is a relatively new topic that is becoming more important every day and which still presents many research topics, so a review of the sub areas is built. Therefore, the objective of this article is to show the evolution of the sub-areas of Fintech through a bibliometric review that presents the perspectives of this topic of study at present. For this purpose, a network analysis was carried out, supported by scientometric techniques, using the Web Tree of Science tool from a consultation in Scopus. The most important documents were classified and an analysis of the citations was carried out. The results showed three different sub-areas: Fintech new business model challenge in the digital economy; the future of credit banking a competitive advantage and data security and privacy.application/pdftext/htmlapplication/xmlapplication/epub+zipspaUniversidad de la CostaECONÓMICAS CUC - 2021https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessEsta obra está bajo una licencia internacional Creative Commons Atribución-NoComercial-SinDerivadas 4.0.http://purl.org/coar/access_right/c_abf2https://revistascientificas.cuc.edu.co/economicascuc/article/view/3246Fintech; disruption; loans; data security; banks.FintechDisrupciónPréstamosSeguridadDatosBancosUna revisión bibliográfica del Fintech y sus principales subáreas de estudioA bibliographic review of Fintech and its main subareas of studyArtículo de revistahttp://purl.org/coar/resource_type/c_6501http://purl.org/coar/resource_type/c_2df8fbb1Textinfo:eu-repo/semantics/articleJournal articlehttp://purl.org/redcol/resource_type/ARTinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionhttp://purl.org/coar/version/c_970fb48d4fbd8a85Económicas CUCAgarwal, S. & Chua, Y.
