Summary:Reading comprehension is essential in the teaching-learning process hence the importance of studies that lead to strengthen it; the results obtained in national and international tests are unfavorable. Because of this, the present research is conducted that aims to develop teaching strategies mediated by ICT to strengthen reading comprehension of students, the type of research refers to research - action and design methodology has a qualitative approach framed sociocritic within a paradigm, the results obtained with the mediation of ICT elucidated improvements in the process. The information collected is examined in the light of the established categories of analysis. Finally, the application of techniques and instruments allows students to express through the implementation of activities their great interest in reading comprehension processes and that through the implementation of innovative strategies mediated by ICT can strengthen each of areas of knowledge, developing all the skills and capacities that allow them to improve their reading process.
