Summary:The objective of this research was to develop a comparative analysis of the factors that influence the performance of social enterprises in Colombia. It was qualitative in nature, presenting a documentary typology with a comparative analytical level. The methodological procedure was: Phase I.- The factors that have set the tone in Latin America were determined. Phase II: The aspects that affect the performance of social enterprises in comparison with Latin America and Colombia were identified, as well as Phase III: In which the advantages for the Colombian population were established. As it was documentary, it did not proceed with the categorization of sample elements coming from a population. The information was collected from printed and electronic sources using notebooks, index cards and computers and the Internet. All relevant information was analyzed in countries such as Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Ecuador, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay and Venezuela, in order to have a holistic vision of the factors that have been transcendental or not in the success of social entrepreneurship. The analytical study was conducted concluding that the success of a social enterprise has been grouped into four categories according to the origin of the factors: contextual, organizational, entrepreneurial team and the solution to the social problem. As for the aspects that were identified as incidents in Latin America in comparison with Colombia, there are two categories: the Entrepreneurial Team and the Solution given to the social problem by the initiative. In the same way, there are numerous advantages that social entrepreneurship has brought in Colombia since it has a vulnerable population in many areas, being the group of individuals displaced as a result of violent conflicts the most reviewed, so that social entrepreneurship has managed to develop, achieving economic stability as a result of innovation, leadership, creativity and impetus to demonstrate their human talent. It was recommended that Colombia give priority for social entrepreneurship to the social environment, the field of innovation, education and technology making them strengths as well as human capital, demand conditions and cultural environment conducive to value-added businesses that are the most used today for social entreprene
