Description
Summary:The rescue of the identity values that must be strengthened in Afro-descendant students from Barranquilla at the Carlos Meisel Atlantic Colombian School and the lack of knowledge of the Afro cultural legacy of the rest of the students require teachers and managers to implement innovative didactic and pedagogical strategies. In this context, the chair of Afro-Colombian studies emerges as a curricular alternative that contributes to the solution of the problem situation. In this research, it is proposed to design a proposal for ethno-pedagogical mediation with the Chair of Afro-Colombian Studies for the strengthening of ethnic and cultural identity. The methodology is mixed in that it has components of qualitative and quantitative research simultaneously, under the critical rationalist paradigm. From an epistemological approach with rationalist, deductive, descriptive and propositional characteristics, a documentary, field and propositional design is approached. The results show that the ethno-pedagogical mediation through the chair of Afro-Colombian studies promotes and encourages the rescue of ethnic and cultural values and allows students to learn about the Afro-cultural legacy. It concludes on the importance of strengthening the curriculum from the mainstreaming of learning experiences focused on the contributions of the sociocultural context where the comprehensive training process is developed.
