Summary:In accordance with the National Constitution, the State is organ ized to protect our Human rights. For our part like civil society, we are provided with the solidarity and the right to the participation to defend them. In this sense, the National Constitution has divided the power of the State in three branches: the le gislative one, which does the laws; the executive, or national government, which must act with base in them; and the judicial one, which makes them expire. Also, it has created the "Attorney General", which is in charge of controlling the actions of the ci vil servants and of exercising the protection of the Human rights opposite to the excesses and nonperformances of the Law on the part of them. The Attorney General is shaped by the Attorney general's office of the Nation, the Defensoría of the People and Personerías Municipales. The executive, or government, before the difficult conditions of national coexistence, has created some special offices for the promotion and protection of the Human rights
