Description
Summary:In this Project, we want to develop a plan to implement a new system transportation to specific workers of maritime sector company in Barranquilla city, in which using different resources such as real analysis like Traveling Salesman Problem (TSP), vehicular routing problems (VRP), and using another theory’s (cluster first - route second), to solve problems in a right way, designing an specific transportation system. The different variants of the problem of routing vehicles allow us to provide a solution to the current case in the company, where different problems had appear with operating personnel by not submitted on time the operation tasks have assumed, this issue is due to the lack of correct methods in the decision making for planning routes and their coordination and similarly impact on transportation costs, we defined a proposal to improve the process of entry and exit of the personnel, minimizing costs at the moment that the route is assigned and bus stops near to the place of residence of the employees. To make a distribution of transportation planning is a high priority to understand the logistics environment which can help users located in geographically dispersed ways in a city to make the assignment of routes. We describes the steps followed for the design and implementation through the identification of the problem, We took into account getting data like an updated information of the workers, place of residences and staff schedules by areas. We checked it by visiting field were carried out in the inspection of the conditions of the roads and performance of the vehicular circulation in the main corridors and intersections of urban road created and developed the mapping of these points. This information was processed at the time of the study, taking into account the concepts, models and combinations of VRP proposed by authors and works. We took the decision to solve the problem properly, designing a proposal that generated benefits to the users, lowering the costs for the service to the company, and also to increasing efficiency in the operations of its own nature.
