Summary: | In Colombia, the design of flexible pavements has been studied in recent years as a result of, in the first instance, the methodologies adopted to obtain the thickness of the structure and, in the second instance, due to the varied results they bring. These methodologies arose, consequently, from a necessary experimentation to be able to deliver high quality roads where their level of service was effective. It project aims to perform a comparative analysis within the methodologies of obtaining the CBR design for the calculation of the thicknesses of a flexible pavement. These methods are given by the Asphalt Institute, the Average Criteria and the Arithmetic Average. For the development of this project, a route of approximately 90 km was considered in the Department of Bolivar (Colombia) divided into 5 main road sections and, in turn, has homogeneous sections that helped the calculation and analysis of the thicknesses of each layer required within a pavement of this type. |
