Description
Summary:The purpose of this research is to describe the didactic strategies focused on cooperative learning which facilitate the strengthening of academic performance in the IED students of the Simon Bolívar neighborhood of Barranquilla in 2019. The population which with has worked was 128 students from the 2nd grade, 28 of them were selected, according to the final report of the First Year Evaluation Committee of the previous year due to low academic performance. A series of five didactic workshops, based on Cooperative Learning was designed and implemented to optimize student interpersonal relationships and strengthen academic performance. The activities of these strategies pursued: 1. Personal effort. 2. Positive relationships and 3. Contribute to mental health. With cooperative learning as a strategy for academic strengthening in the institution of the Simon Bolívar neighborhood of Barranquilla, was possible to appreciate 1. Improvement of academic performance. 2. Children’s Progress in the interpersonal relationships. 3. Acceptance of responsibilities and roles in teamwork. 4. Increase in empathy among second grade children.
