Summary:In the constant search to improve the school environment, educational institutions and teachers stimulate pedagogical strategies that promote teaching-learning systems mediated by healthy relationships based on principles and values, due to the excessive movement in existing social systems in today's world. educational programs seek the mitigation of conflicting situations; The school climate inside and outside the classroom is what provides education and learning processes are given and reach the educational quality. The present investigation was carried out under the complementary paradigm, descriptive research in search by identifying the state of the values of the students of the elementary school of the 5th grade of the I. E. Antonia Santos, towards the value of respect and tolerance; with a field methodological design that has as reference the experience of the subjects that participate in an environment in relation to the context. For the collection of information, the following instruments were used: the survey, documentary review and direct observation. The results showed that students are interested in communicating with others through the use of social networks and teachers are a little apathetic to the use of these platforms due to ignorance and fear. The strategy applied in the classroom was mediated through the use of YouTube with the visualization of short films; it was observed that it favored dialogue, debate and change of perspectives of situations in which basic rights were violated, providing environments for reflection and self-criticism of daily lif
