La responsabilidad civil medica en nuestra legislación colombiana

In the first part of this study we refer to the different ways in which the medical professional's misconduct can be typified, highlighting in particular the civil liability of the doctor, both contractual and non-contractual, as well as from the individual point of view and of teamwork. I also developed the criminal and disciplinary responsibility and other points such as the responsibility of the clinics and other activities and professions related to medicine. I intend to analyze the nature of the obligation assumed by the doctor when performing his professional work, an aspect that is of great importance within the responsibility of the doctor, because from there derive different legal consequences in relation to its non-compliance, the burden of proof , the forms of exoneration, etc. In the Colombian legal environment there is a great ignorance of medical civil liability, and the only thing that is mentioned in isolation is that the obligation of this professional is framed, like that of the lawyer, in the so-called obligations of prudence or means.
