In this work we study degree modes of transport used by students and / or employees of the University of the Coast. On the regional and local context of the city, transport modes to study are: bus (includes Transmetro and traditional) car, motorcycle, taxi, walk and as an aggregate study analyzed bicycle. The study of transport demand was made 240 people, of which 60.34% are male and 39.66% female. People ages ranging from 16 to 40 years. The 93.22% live in the city and 7.78% moves from out of town. The mode of transport is the most widely used bus with 82.40% followed by taxi to 9.60%, the car has a share of 5.20%, 1.60% hike one and finally with 1. 20% the bike. After a stated preference survey, ie, simulation of situations of choice, we proceeded to make a prediction models mode of transport, with the existing theory and based on previous studies for the veracity of the study. These models are then compared to what the person chosen and the percentage of assertiveness model was quantified. |

Primero se identifica la población a estudiar, luego se realiza un estudio de campo, después caracterizamos el ámbito social (sexo, ingreso, lugar de residencia, lugar de destino, motivo de viaje, etc.). y por ultimo con datos estadístico se determinan sus modos de transporte de preferencia. En este trabajo de grado estudiamos los modos de transporte usados por los estudiantes y/o trabajadores de la Universidad de la Costa. Por el contexto regional y local de la ciudad, los modos de transporte a estudiar son: bus (incluye Transmetro y tradicional) automóvil, moto, taxi, caminata y como un estudio agregado se analizó la bicicleta. El estudio de demanda de transporte se realizó a 240 personas, de las cuales el 60.34 % es hombre y 39.66 % mujer. Las edades de las personas oscilan desde los 16 hasta los 40 años. El 93.22 % viven dentro de la ciudad y el 7.78 % se traslada desde fuera de la ciudad. El modo de transporte de mayor uso es el bus con 82.40 % seguido del taxi con el 9.60%, el automóvil tiene un porcentaje de 5.20 %, la caminata un 1.60 % y por ultimo con 1. 20 % la moto. Después con una encuesta de preferencias declaradas, es decir, simulación de situaciones de elección, procedimos a realizar unos modelos de predicción de modo de transporte, con la teoría existente y con base en estudios anteriores para la veracidad de este estudio.
