Description
Summary:The present research aims to understand the impact of the virtual learning course on strengthening fundamental mathematical operations such as division and multiplication in thirdgrade students, characterize the level of performance, and implement the virtual course at IED del Barrio Montes / IED Jesús de Nazaret. This is framed within the study of the need to adapt to an increasingly technological and competitive society, where virtual courses can be effective and formative. The research is developed under a qualitative research paradigm. The units of analysis consisted of different documents, observation, interviews with teachers and students, and finally, focus groups. The main results show that there are technological resources in institutions, but access to these is very limited. They also highlight difficulties in learning fundamental operations in the mathematics area. As conclusive ideas, it is emphasized that new technologies applied to education offer valuable opportunities to enrich the teaching and learning of mathematics, especially multiplication and division. The implementation of these digital tools can not only enhance the learning of these contents but also motivate students by providing more interactive and engaging learning experiences. It is suggested that educators use more innovative teaching strategies that go beyond conventional methods and can transcend the limitations of traditional Approaches
