Summary:The project entitled "Music as a pedagogical strategy to facilitate the teaching of the social sciences" of the students of the Bachelor's Degree in Primary Basic Education of the University of the Costa CUC; Its objective is to analyze the pedagogical strategy of insertion of music for the development of teaching - learning processes in the Social Sciences, with 5th grade students of the Industrial and Commercial Technical Institution of Soledad, where instruments and techniques are used. data collection such as the interview, the survey, a documentary analysis of the PEI and plans of the primary social sciences area. This research is based on the interpretive paradigm and this frames under an epistemological approach of an introspective experiential nature, taking into account Padrón (1998) in this approach knowledge is an act of understanding and was relevant for this research and that social sciences and The music refers to an interpreter the events or experiences achieving the main objective, arrangement in this project.
