Description
Summary:Colombia is country with large biodiversity, aspect that allowed him posicionarse large exporter ornamental fish the world. However, existing constraints in economic activity have generated to the indiscriminate capture of exemplars, the development of aquaculture crops with scarce controls and management norms, provoking serious problems such as the out of control presence some species in hydrographic basins of distinct countries. The presence of Loricariidae in Mexico is an example, thanks to adaptation capacity in diverse ambiences has taken as habitat different basins of state of Chiapas and its presence has occasioned social and environmental impacts as the erosion of hydrics basins, displacement of native species and reduction of income of the fishermen. In search of alternatives to mitigate the existing problem it was decided to evaluate the feasibility of agroindustrial exploitation of exemplars pteryplichthys pardalis, Pterygoplichthys disjunctivus and hybrids obtained of Malpaso dam in state of Chiapas, Mexico from on morphometric development, eating habits and muscle and byproduct yields. The morphometric analysis of 54 exemplars extracted of dam allowed to establish that the identified species are in satisfactory conditions and infer that the hybrids have great morphological similarity to P. pardalis and P. disjunctivus. Their diets are mainly composed of algae, followed by cyanobacteria and organic matter. Finally, It was possible to estimate the percentages of each of the parts of the fish and discuss its possible use, allowing to clarify that, these could be used in the production of biotechnological compounds and of interest in different industries.
