Description
Summary:This research arises from the need to detect the relationship between the styles, strategies of learning of teachers, and evaluation of academic performance of students in a given population at a private institution located in the city of Barranquilla. Therefore, the main objective aims to determine the styles and strategies of learning of teachers, and their relation to the assessment of academic performance of students. In support of the background research, a set of studies on the same variables and study subjects was used. The theoretical conceptualization was based on the review of the literature of different authors that conceptually support this research. A mixed approach correlational design, with a sample of 86 ninth grade students of secondary basic education and 17 teachers to guide the learning process in the degree in question was implemented; a statistical analysis was done with the data found through the application of standardized test. Relationships between styles and learning strategies of students and teachers with assessment and classroom teaching practices are found, which affect the academic performance of students
