Summary:The main objective of the present study was; establish the psychocriminogenic characteristics in the case of J.A., who is convicted of crimes of theft and illegal possession of a weapon, in order to provide information to science with psychocriminogenic elements, through the crime of theft, thereby achieving an important contribution to the University of the Coast and the lines of research in cognitive neuroscience and mental health, allowing the development of investigative skills, benefiting the prisoner with a psychocriminological evaluation in which it will favor his procedure within the penitentiary establishment, without leaving aside the contribution to the penitentiary and antisocial context. For this, an interview and application of psychological tests such as the mini mental, million personality questionnaire, aggressiveness questionnaire, Goldberg health questionnaire, Plutchik impulsivity scale, coping coping strategy scale-modified for taking were implemented, of qualitative and quantitative data respectively, which were analyzed through manual coding and classification respectively. Among the main results are different family, educational, environmental, and socioeconomic risk factors that can influence the emission of punishable behavior.
