Summary: | To develop this research we studied the regulation that governs the general aspects Zone in the country, as are its characteristics, advantages and objectives for which the Government institutions, in order to show the economic impact social and currently generating the different Zones created in the Industrial District and Port of Barranquilla. Given trends in the global trade, it became necessary to adjust and refine the legal framework of the free zone, why the Congress passed the 2005 and 1004 Decrees 383 and 4051 year 2007, through which regulates the free zone regime and establish goals. The Free Zone has become a strategic tool to promote economic development in the region where they are installed, as entrepreneurs and local and foreign investors to be installed within the zone, do not apply the rules in customs, foreign exchange and tax faced by employers located in the rest of the national customs territory (TAN), thus the opportunities for development of Free Zones in Colombia every day are larger, because the country has a policy on Foreign Trade follows the rules set by WTO as well as providing mechanisms for trade facilitation (customs procedures streamlined and efficient controls), and incentives in customs, foreign exchange and tax, constitute a lure for attracting capital, generating employment, growth in the region where they are installed and competitiveness. |
