Description
Summary:The purpose of this research work was to analyze the relationship between school environment, discipline in the classroom with the academic performance in 10th grade students of the Lebanon educational institution of the special district and port Santa Marta. It was based on the following theoretical references: theory of aggressiveness, ecological and finally, cognitive. The present study is framed in a Rationalist-deductive epistemological approach, with a mixed design, a complementary paradigm, guided by the deductive method and a qualitative-quantitative methodological approach, the instrument used was the survey (a questionnaire of 42 items for teachers and three for students identified by each school environment variable, classroom discipline and academic performance) applied to grade 10 with a sample of 48 students aged 11 to 19 years. The results of this research determine that most students disagree that there are few conflicts in the classroom, where there is a dilemma because one party expresses that the problems are adequately resolved, while another states that it is not true. It is concluded that students have some kind of family difficulties and that sometimes they are hindered by socializing with their classmates, with the community and teachers. In addition to the previous idea, there is a lack of motivation in the way of teaching the subjects by the teacher, it was recommended that trengthen relations with the social environment of schools, as well as interaction with families in order to favor the improvement of school results and the integral training of students.
