Summary:This project is about how to develop the values of honesty and respect in children who are in second grade at Institución Educativa Distrital El Pueblo, in Barranquilla. To get that, we use many games, workshops, talks to their parents and to the students at the school. The atmosphere of those children at home is full of “intrafamily violence”, this situation causes that children are not self-confidence. For that reason, they can be very shy or very violent. So, they fight with their partners every day. Besides, they have another great problem related to sincerity and robbery. To develop these values in our children relevant because family avoid them and sometimes society shows the dishonesty and disrespect as they were true values. For this reason, this is not an easy project, but we consider that it is possible if students learn them since they are children. In this way, they will grow up living these values as a natural way. As we do not have any government help to stop these difficulties, teachers have to work very hard to try to solve this kind of social problems. So, this purpose has been included into the Educational Project of the School in 2011. Family, students and teachers look very motivated to participate and to get changes in their lives. They know that we need a better city, a good country and they are who can change it because “they are the seed of the future”.
