Summary:The present degree project evaluates the result of a parameter such as the resilient soil module through a correlation, which was developed through an empirical study, and how the value of this was an important impact on the final design of a pavement. By the ASSHTO 93 Methodology, a flexible pavement design was made using four correlations to determine the above named variable, with the aim of updating the recommendations compared to the results. All this in order to make an adequate selection of the correlation taking into account the coefficient of friction of California (CBR) as a starting point to obtain an optimal final design. For the accomplishment of the comparative analysis between the correlations chosen for the present work of degree, diverse forms of structures of flexible pavements can be found with the purpose of selecting and analyzing directly the impact of each one of the correlations that realize a variation in the CBR In addition, a real final design was made as a practical example that demonstrates in a clearer, more didactic and complete way the impact of the correlations for its design.
