Summary: | Since the 60s, Colombia has suffered because of the armed conflict, with the emergence of groups such as the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) and Paramilitaries. However, this document has as aim to emphasize the paramilitary violence, as counterinsurgency force of the armed forces of the Colombian state. The Paramilitarism increases its forces with the use of drug trafficking, this caused them to expand its forces and become more violent. The violent actions have caused serious impacts in the civilian population, these actions are originated from a systematic strategy whit particular interests. The number of victimizing facts and the victims makes Colombia as one of the most violent and unequal countries in the world, this has caused in its inhabitants the acceptance of a culture of violence, and that communities lose their only means of subsistence and their life projects. From the above, the following research is considered a contribution for the analysis of the relationship between social capital, posttraumatic cognitions and mental health of the communities of El Platanal, La Concordia and El Caimán. |
