En Colombia y en el mundo han estado realizando estudios de la calidad de la playa, institutos como el INVEMAR realizan estudio en el Pacifico y Caribe Colombiano que se enfocan en la calidad sanitaria de las aguas, sin embargo, se observó que normalmente ha estado ligada a normas de tipo sanitario que no son específicas para playas de uso recreativo. La propuesta del Índice de Calidad Ambiental en Playas Turísticas ICAPTU, se compone de tres indicadores, hace parte de ellos el Indicador de Calidad Ambiental Sanitaria, en el cual se evalúan seis parámetros en agua y arena de las playas, investigaciones anteriores realizaron tres protocolos de medición desde la parte microbiológica (Coliformes Totales, Coliformes Fecales y Enterococos), esta investigación se enfoca en la realización de los tres parámetros restantes (Residuos Sólidos, Vectores y Hongos) y de esta manera completar el Indicador y lograr su aplicación. Al establecer las metodologías para la medición de los parámetros Vectores, Residuos Sólidos y Hongos, se realizó una validación de estos mediante una salida de campo realizada el mes de Abril, aplicando el Indicador de Calidad Ambiental Sanitaria con sus seis parámetros en agua y arena en las playas de Puerto Velero, Caño Dulce y Salgar. En esta validación se tomó un punto de muestreo en cada área de estudio. Se obtuvo que en comparación con las normas NTS-TS 001 -2, Decreto 1594 de 1984 las playas se encuentren cumpliendo con lo establecido, sin embargo el parámetro Enterococos en agua no cumple para ninguna de las áreas de estudio. |

The offer of the Index of Environmental Quality in Tourist Beaches ICAPTU, consists of three indicators, part does of them the Indicator of Environmental Sanitary Quality, in which six parameters are evaluated in water and sand of the beaches, previous investigations they realized three protocols of measurement from the microbiological part (Coliformes Totales, Coliformes Fecales and Enterococos), this investigation focuses in the accomplishment of three remaining parameters (Solid Residues, Vectors and Fungi) and hereby to complete the Indicator and to achieve his application. When the methodologies established for the measurement of the parameters Vectors, Solid Residues and Fungi, a validation was realized of these by means of a field exit realized In April, applying the Indicator of Environmental Sanitary Quality with his six parameters in water and sand in the beaches of Puerto Velero, Caño Dulcee and Salgar.
