Description
Summary:At a global level, the problems of reading comprehension have been constant, since students present problems to reach the inferential and critical level, being easier to cover the literal level. The development and strengthening of reading comprehension in students has become a challenge for current education, since, it is intended that at the end of school education they will obtain the necessary tools to deal with any type of text, however, the little interest and reading habits requires establishing strategies and sources of motivation to awaken the love of reading, therefore, the present research is designed with the objective of developing a pedagogical strategy mediated by the oral tradition of the Colombian Caribbean to strengthen reading comprehension in the 6th students of the Jorge Robledo Ortíz District Educational Institution of Barranquilla. A qualitative research was developed, with a methodological approach Research-Action - Participation, with a sample of 12 students of grade 6. The results allowed to demonstrate significant advances in the strengthening of reading comprehension, pointing to the inferential and critical levels.
