| Summary: | The university visibility seen from the university rankings, has become in recent years a quality measure of the universities (Montané et al., 2017), Due to the positioning in the university rankings and consequently to the visibility that these generate, the universities can capture a greater amount of resources coming from the cost of their enrollments, agreements with other universities, government resources, among others. Taking into account the importance of visibility for universities, the main objective of this research was to design a maturity model of the visibility profile of scientific research in Colombian universities. This research was analyzed analytically with a mixed approach, it was carried out through the study of qualitative and quantitative variables, applying categorization techniques, and correlational statistical analysis using linear regression analysis, in the SPSS 25 free access version software. The data to be considered were taken from sources associated with the visibility of the research, such as: different university rankings, Scimago, Scopus, university web portals, web portal of the Colombian Ministry of Education, Sciences, academic networks, social networks, among other sites. Of interest, For this research, 100% of the universities ranked in the Simago Colombia ranking were taken as a sample, as a result of the design of a maturity model of the visibility profile of the research in Colombian universities was obtained, which allows Universities measure their levels of visibility in terms of research and also know what strategies to apply to improve their levels of visibility, and the opportunity to categorize themselves in these university rankings. |
