Description
Summary:Entrepreneurship plays a significant role in higher education institutions, allowing students to achieve their personal goals. The design and implementation of strategies related to education for entrepreneurship and articulation of these with the universities' substantive functions would support students' entrepreneurship culture, promoting different capacities to face occupational contexts. We developed a questionnaire under the Global University Entrepreneurial Spirit Students' Survey (GUESSS). The sample consisted of 224 students belonging to higher education institutions from the surgical instrumentation programs in Barranquilla, Colombia. The research results showed that the entrepreneurial intention increases in students to the extent that they have an adequate perception of business entrepreneurship and their confidence in managing and exploiting their capacities upon graduating from the academic program.
