Summary:	This research addresses issues of public space oriented to a concept of heritage, which seeks to understand the public space and its dimensions in order to make a proposal for the revitalization of public space with the conditioning factors of heritage, with the conditions of universal accessibility and with the characteristics of the urban area of the city in this specific area such as the historic center. Taking into account that the city of Barranquilla originated based on the center and its river, reviewing its urban area and the image that it presents architecturally, we find a very large problem in the historic center of the city, since, it has been It has become the central axis of the city's commerce and as a consequence of this it can be found that commerce has been a trigger for the low architectural and urban development of this area. Therefore, a proposal will be proposed that revitalizes an important area of the historic center of Barranquilla, with the ambition of generating an architectural and urban advance in this sector that is so important for the city. As Cañate Bello, Kelly Johana says "In addition to the aesthetic aspects, there are clashes between some citizens' rights. There have been insufficient attempts to solve the problem, without a definitive solution, making this reality increasingly serious”. With the revitalization of this zone that will be projected in this graduate work, it will also be focused on giving the community of Barranquilla that circulate, trades and resides in this area of the city, a better form of communication and coexistence, with the ambition of creating a social improvement with this architectural proposal.
