En cuanto a las tendencias de investigación en contabilidad ambiental se encontró que actualmente se están abordando categorías de educación, profesión, aprendizaje, pedagogía, reportes y valoración ambiental. En conclusión, se expresa que las investigaciones han permitido potencializar la contabilidad ambiental, reconociéndola como una rama que tiene igual o mayor importancia frente a los otros tipos de contabilidad.
