Summary:A cyclic injection test with CO2 (Huff'n'Puff) has been designed in Zone A (Colorado formation) of the Galán Field. To this end, a review of the characteristics of the reservoir and the effects of CO2 on the crude oil was carried out to then design a range of operating conditions based on the efficiency curves of the cyclic injection process with CO2. Although the designed test is investigative in nature, according to the calculations made, it yields positive results both in the incremental factor and in the recovery time, which is quite short. Therefore, it is feasible to carry out CO2 injection-production cycles depending on how the reservoir responds to the first cycle.
