Summary:The purpose of this work is to evaluate the behavior in the production and the exportations on Colombian cocoa between 2007 and 2016, having into account the challenges to obtain a better competitiveness in the market. For this purpose, it was establish 3 specific objectives which were developed into three different chapters and, by doing so, getting to some conclusions to answer the general objective. o develop this general objective, first it was decided to describe in big measure the actual state of the world´s cocoa market and then to describe the national´s cocoa market.
