Summary: | "The variation in the chemical composition of the cement does not allow the use of a single admixture in a standard way, therefore the purpose of this degree work was to evaluate the performance of reducing admixtures (AR3, AR7 and AR40), handlers (AM6, AM67, AM65, AM65H and AM80) and compare it with mixtures formulated in different concentrations of the admixtures (AR40, AM67 and AM65H) for a total of 30 tests since two cements of national manufacturers named P and K were included. Initially the characterization of the components of the mortar, in the cement experimental tests were carried out to determine its density and fluidity, and techniques such as X-ray diffraction and X-ray fluorescence to know its chemical composition. The aggregates were characterized from their density, absorption and granulometry and finally properties of the admixtures were obtained as the percentage of solids, viscosity, density and color. After the characterization the water cement ratio was defined for each type of additive (0.29 in reducers, 0.33 with handlers and mixtures) and the admixture dose to be used (0.17%) in all mortars from the study of the shingles test with the admixture reference AR7. |
