Para ello, se analiza el caso español y se intenta mostrar cómo la explotación y discriminación de inmigrantes pobres constituye a menudo no sólo una situación inaceptable desde un punto de vista moral, sino una violación de estándares internacionales y constitucionales. Finalmente, se argumenta a favor de una política progresiva de fronteras abiertas y de una ciudadanía de residencia basada en el reconocimiento a todas las personas de iguales derechos sociales, políticos y culturales. This article intends to justify the possibility and the need of guaranteeing social rights for migrant people in European countries. In order to do that, it analyses the Spanish case and tries to show how exploitation and discrimination of poor migrants often represents not only an unacceptable situation from a moral standpoint, but a violation of international and constitutional standards.
